Wales Contemporary, the international art competition and exhibition dedicated to Wales, has launched for its second year, with the support of the Welsh Government. For more information you can visit https://walescontemporary.artopps.co.uk/

Marine Costello is trying to get the word out about this opportunity for artists all around the world to celebrate Wales, win 12,000 pounds sterling in prizes, and show their work in the National Assembly of Wales. Marine says "it would be fantastic to see some of our members entering".

Welsh Society St David's celebration lunch

The Welsh Society of WA will hold its St. David's Day celebration lunch at 1.00pm for a 1.20pm sit-down, on Saturday 7th March 2020 at the Trophy Room, Western Australian Golf Club, 60 Hayes Ave, Yokine WA 6060. This will be a 3 course sit-down meal including a tea and coffee station. Bar facilities available.Please advise any special dietary requirements. Booking and payment required by Monday 24th February. Paid-up members $45, non-members $70.

WELSH SOCIETY CHRISTMAS PARTY LUNCH

The Welsh Society of WA  will hold it's Christmas Party Lunch on Saturday 14th December 2019 at 12.00pm for a 12.30pm start, at Scarborough Uniting Church Hall, 121 Northstead St. Scarborough, 6019.

Cost for a two course Christmas lunch is $30 for paid up members, $35 for non-members and $13.50 for children. BYO beer, wine, soft drinks, and drinking glasses. Free self-serve tea / coffee at any time. When booking please advise your choice of dessert (1) Christmas pudding with Brandy sauce (or custard), OR (2) Pavlova with seasonal fruit, and please advise if you have any special dietary requirements.

Having a venue to ourselves will allow us to sing Christmas carols, and include a couple of items with a bit of Welsh flavour.

Santa's Gift: We will continue the tradition of bringing along a gift up to the value of $10 for Santa to distribute to everyone attending the lunch. For ease of distribution please bring a gift that would suit either male or female.

Hamper for the needy: Please bring along any non-perishable goods so that we can donate a hamper to those in need.
